New Ford Police Responders Complete State Police Testing in Michigan

Recently, Ford reported that is the first automaker to deliver a pursuit-rated hybrid police car and a pursuit-rated full-size pickup truck to law enforcement agencies across the country, answering their need for fleet diversification.

The two vehicles -- the previously announced 2019 Ford Police Responder Hybrid Sedan and 2018 Ford F-150 Police Responder -- were successful in completing the demanding 32-lap police vehicle testing at Michigan's Grattan Raceway last month.

September Marks Ford Global Caring Month

Ford's EcoBoost Wins Engine of the Year Award

Last month in Cologne, Germany, Ford's 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine was named the 2017 International Engine of the Year "Best Engine Under 1.0-liter" winner. The is the sixth straight time th engine has won the award, making it undefeated since it was first introduced in 2012.

The compact, three cylinder engine was praise by the judging panel of 58 automotive journalists from 31 countries for its stellar combination of performance, technology and fuel efficiency.

Ford Makes Another Investment in its Kentucky Plant

Ford announced plans recently to make a $900 million investment in upgrades to its Kentucky Truck Plant, equipping the facility so that it can build the all-new Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator SUVs that arrive at U.S. dealerships this fall. The Ford Fiesta ST is propelled by a 1.6-liter turbocharged direct-injection EcoBoost® four cylinder engine. The fuel efficiency of EPA-estimated 26 mpg city/33 mpg highway/29 mpg combined helped drive the vehicle to the award, as did its low initial price.
